The art of floating

(For the little boy Aylan)

Floating on the ocean-ripples gives you
a feeling of lightheadedness or a vision of a dervish.
Because everything is so balanced and mysterious
under the water! Or what about your face-down game.
You see- your body is a fish, hanging in the sea-air.
That’s great resurrection moment! You know.

Every death has a poetic magnificence in it
or at least the sense of accomplishment.
Even when the mesmerizing tiger-shark devours a
tiny sword fish, one can see how everything is
sewn together splendidly!

But look at the tranquility of the five senses.
This is somewhat miraculous – you’re floating
and the sinking travelers waving their hands
before they come to know life is always a betting!
And there is no such thing as Shia, Sunni, Hindu or
Christian under the cemetery of water!

The way the body gets
a silent dimension, it actually reminds me of the shadow
of a Buddhist monk who is doing a kind of yoga.
Although I don’t think that’s the right way to know oneself!

Somewhere around the junction
the construction workers are having a nap quietly.
After all, the dwellers need a children park along the riverside.

You always know- the little body could not find a home to sleep!
